Product Details

This 17th-century carved wood figure, originally part of a salvaged boiserie, showcases exquisite carved wood craftsmanship (rather than stucco) with a genuine gold leaf finish. It is most likely of Spanish of origin. The seated woman, gracefully draped in flowing robes, reflects the elegance of Baroque artistry. Though other elements of the original boiserie are missing, this piece retains a rich patina and has been recently remounted on a contemporary metal stand. Wear consistent with its age enhances its authentic, historical charm.

Use this striking figure as a focal point on a console, sideboard, or mantel. Pair it with rich textures such as velvet or dark wood to accentuate its golden hues and patina. Ideal for both traditional and eclectic interiors, it brings a warm, historical presence to any space.

Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
Approx. overall 29½" high x 26¾" x 10¼"
Approx. overall 75cm high x 68cm x 26cm
